Remembrance Poppy Cockade

The Remembrance Poppy has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel who have died in war. It was inspired by the poem "In Flanders Fields" by Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
