Black Hanoverian Cockade

The cockade I received is as pictured and well made. I would say it is a good buy, if it is what you need. That said, I was trying to construct an 18th century British Navy captain’s bicorne hat, and the cockade just did not look historically correct. The old cockades were fan shaped, a folded ribbon or a bow fitted under a gold braded retainer. In addition, the cockades on these large hats were larger than what you sell. I bought your cockade thinking it was my only option. I wound up making a ribbon cockade. I’d send pictures of the old cockades and what I created buy but .....
